Catalogs
This page, when completed, will provide more information in helping you choose which catalog(s) to use in searching for print, audio or video media. But the following is a very brief introduction.
The two catalogs for which links are provided above (and in this paragraph) are where you should start your search -- first search the Lee Library catalog if you want to know whether we own a local copy of your item, and then if necessary search the Western Mass Libraries catalog. (Please Note: Both of these links take you "outside" of our web site. To return to our web site, click on the "back arrow" (pointing left) near upper left corner of your browser).
As this page gets developed, we'll tell you more about other search catalogs which you can access from your home computer, each one expanding the "search universe" to include more libraries -- expanding first to Central Mass libraries, then to all academic and public libraries in Massachusetts.
But remember that we also can do all these searches for you at the circulation desk (and additional searches looking beyond Massachusetts libraries). So whether you want help in learning how to do a search yourself, or you want us to do the search for you, please let us know.
Read the best books first, or you may not have a chance to read them at all.
